Window Rock-Fort Defiance Lions Club

The Window Rock / Fort Defiance Lions Club is a member of Lions Clubs International, the world's largest service association. Lions are recognized worldwide for their service to the blind and visually impaired. This service began when Helen Keller challenged the Lions to become "Knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness" during the association's 1925 international convention. Today, in addition to the international Sight First! program, Lions extend their commitment to sight conservation through countless local efforts.

Lions are also involved in a variety of other activities to improve their communities and help people in need, such as assisting the hearing impaired, providing diabetes awareness and education materials, working on environmental projects and developing youth programs.

The Window Rock-Fort Defiance Lions Club Organization is located in Window Rock, Arizona; the capital of the Navajo Nation.  The Navajo Nation is the largest Indian reservation in the United States, spanning 27,673 square miles and encompasses the corners of three states:  Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.

Our goal is to earn money through fundraising efforts to assist the blind and the visually impaired in various communities on the Navajo Nation.

For more information regarding membership or donations, please call Ron Benally at 928-871-2447.
