More ILC President's Visit...

The LCI President's visit turned out to be a whirlwind tour beginning with the eyescreening vans, and two at that. Navajo children and the elderly were screened and fitted for new glasses. Then LCI President met Navajo President at the Window Rock. A luncheon was hosted by the Window Rock/Fort Defiance Lions Club at the Quality Inn for guests and other Lions Clubs from New Mexico and Arizona to meet our special VIP. Entertainment was given by Navajo children and Miss Navajo sang. Lions members were recognized for their achievements with a special presentation of certificates. Thereafter the President went on to visit a Navajo family guided by Lions Georgia and Shirley. By late afternoon, LCIP Al Brandel and wife, Maureen Murphy, said their goodbyes and flew on to the next part of their journey.
